Frequently asked questions
Why won't the delivery company connect my new washing machine?
Delivery crews connect only to sound, accessible, modern valves — a seized valve, corroded connection or missing waste point means they decline. We sort the valve or waste point and complete the connection, often same-day.
My washing machine drains then floods back — why?
The waste hose is set too low (siphoning), pushed too far into the standpipe, or the standpipe/trap is partially blocked. All are quick corrections.
Do dishwashers need a hot or cold feed?
Nearly all modern dishwashers are cold-fill only and heat internally. Some washing machines still accept hot fill; the machine's manual and the available feeds decide. We connect to the manufacturer's specification.
Can you plumb a fridge with a water dispenser?
Yes — a valved and check-valved feed run to the fridge position, tested for leaks along the run. Push-fit fridge kits are convenient but only as good as their installation.
Can a washing machine go in a garage?
Yes, with freeze protection: lagged feed, isolation for winter, and a waste route that won't freeze or airlock. We'll survey the space and quote it as a small install.
Do you remove the old appliance?
We disconnect and cap safely; disposal itself depends on your delivery arrangement or local collection. Feeds are left valved and blanked, never taped.
